The important thing when you&#8217;re doing these exercises, whether you&#8217;re on a Pilates machine or you&#8217;re doing the movements on your own, is to wear clothes that fit properly and are comfortable. No matter how fashionable a certain workout outfit might be, it&#8217;s not good Pilates clothes if you&#8217;re aware of being uncomfortable the whole time you&#8217;re exercising.</p>
<p>Choose clothes that aren&#8217;t too tight or too loose. This can take a little time in the fitting room at the store, because what seems to be all right while you&#8217;re standing up might not feel so great when you&#8217;re bending over or lying on your back.</p>
<p>When you try on the Pilates clothes you&#8217;d like to have, move around in the fitting room. Lift a leg and lift your arms. Bend over. Now think about how loose the pant legs are—if you&#8217;re on your back on a Pilates machine, how well could someone see up the your pant leg?  If it&#8217;s too loose, you could give them quite a show.</p>
<p>How low cut are your Pilates clothes?  When you bend over, does the cleavage become too revealing? Does the back pull up and possibly reveal more skin that you would like? If you&#8217;re wearing shorts, also consider what might show when you bend over, and how comfortable they might be if you bend and straighten repeatedly.</p>
<p>Because you will be on your back sometimes, and you will be rolling onto your back, think about any features on your Pilates clothes that could be uncomfortable. Any ties, buttons, beads or embellishments that will come between you and the floor could be potentially painful.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t forget to consider your underwear—those are part of your Pilates clothes, too. A sports bra can offer extra support while dispensing with metal or plastic hooks against your back. You might not normally mind those hooks, but when you&#8217;re on your back on the floor, after a while they could dig into your back and become uncomfortable.</p>
<p>Some exercise clothes and workout tops are designed with a built-in bra for support while offering soft fabric with no bunches or embellishments. You could also opt for a regular, supportive bra with a clasp in front, if you don&#8217;t like sports bras.</p>
<p>Many people wear thong underwear because they&#8217;re comfortable—almost like wearing nothing at all. But are they really going to be comfortable for you to exercise in?  Some people like them, some don&#8217;t. You might consider regular full or bikini panties to avoid your underwear bunching and becoming uncomfortable. And go for plain, unembellished underwear, with no appliqu? jewels or other features, to be sure those won&#8217;t irritate you.</p>
<p>While it&#8217;s important that your clothes aren&#8217;t too tight and restricting, you also won&#8217;t want them to be too loose, especially if you&#8217;re exercising on Pilates machines where clothes that billow too much could get caught in the springs. If you&#8217;re in doubt, choose Pilates clothes that are just loose enough to allow you to move.</p>

<p>Margie had gained 30 pounds after her second pregnancy.  She was sluggish – and not just because she had to keep up with a baby and a toddler.  She felt that her weight was keeping her from being the mother she wanted to be.</p>
<p>Margie went to a dietitian to help her change her food choices.  One of the things Susan, her dietitian, suggested was to eat a variety of whole foods that were low in fat and high in fiber.  Margie had been making a variety of quick meals and picking up fast food because of her duties as a mom.  She decided that it was important to start cooking wholesome meals for her husband and herself.  She quickly started losing one to two pounds a week.  Within 4 months, she was back to her pre-pregnancy weight.  What a great weight loss before &amp; after story.</p>
<p>Another factor that was important in her weight loss was wanting to create a family of healthy eaters.  She didn&#8217;t want her kids to think that food came from McDonalds.  Fast food should be an occasional treat not a mainstay of their diets.</p>

<p>Kerry was a busy mom with a 50+ hour a week job.  When she wasn&#8217;t working, she wanted to spend time with her two boys, Gregg who was 9 and Vince who was 11.  She felt guilty about going to the gym because that was an hour and a half she could have been spending with her kids.</p>
<p>But, as she crept up near 200 pounds, she knew something had to change.  One thing she did was get up a half hour earlier in the morning to take a walk.  Then, when she got home in the evenings, she made a point of playing 20 minutes of basketball with the boys every day.  Her new physical activity combined with a low fat, lower calorie diet, led to her losing 55 pounds over the course of a year.</p>
<p>Being able to increase the time she spent with her kids as well as losing the weight was a win-win for Kerry.  That&#8217;s a truly great weight loss before &amp; after story.</p>

<p>One type of lose weight yoga is Ashtanga.  This is a very vigorous style with distinct advantages for people who want to lose weight. Ashtanga practitioners are among the most dedicated yogis. Beginners are usually encouraged to sign up for a series of multiple classes, which helps keep you motivated. Another advantage of Ashtanga yoga is that once you learn the poses, it is ideal for home practitioners.</p>
<p>Another kind of lose weight Yoga is Power yoga.  This is a general term used to describe a vigorous, fitness-based approach to vinyasa yoga. It usually is closely modeled on the Ashtanga style of practice. The term &#8220;power yoga&#8221; came into common usage in the mid 1990s.  Several yoga teachers were looking for a way to make Ashtanga yoga more accessible to western students and developed the style. Unlike Ashtanga, power yoga does not follow a strict series of poses. Therefore, power yoga classes can vary widely from each other. What they share is an emphasis on strength and flexibility. Power yoga started the trend which led to yoga&#8217;s current popularity, because people began to see yoga as a way to work out. Power yoga brought yoga into the gyms of the west.</p>
<p>Hot Yoga is yoga done in heated rooms. The room is usually maintained at 100 degrees. Vigorous yoga at this temperature promotes profuse sweating which rids the body of toxins making it the perfect lose weight yoga. It also makes the body very warm, and therefore more flexible. Bikram Choudhury is one of the superstars of Hot Yoga. He developed a method of Hot Yoga involving a set series of 26 yoga poses, including two pranayama exercises, each of which is performed twice in a single 90 minute class.</p>

People who are serious about a diet to lose belly fat should get 35 grams of fiber.</p>
<p>Secondly, realize that carbs aren&#8217;t the devil that some diets make them out to be, but too many calories from carbohydrates can increase your middle mass.  Carbohydrates should make up no more than 60 percent of your calories when you are on a diet to lose belly fat.  But, make sure that they are at least 45 percent of your diet.  As you can see, balance is the key here.  Most of your carbs should come from fruits and vegetables and you should avoid high carb, empty calorie foods like cupcakes.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Most people who want to lose weight hear about the cabbage soup diet at least once in their life. This diet supposedly helps you to miraculously drop 10-15 pounds in 7 days.  Many people when they first hear about this diet believe that it is &#8220;new&#8221; or &#8220;revolutionary&#8221; or even that it&#8217;s some sort of &#8220;secret&#8221; diet.  When in actuality, none of the above is true.</p>
<p>There are a lot of misconceptions about this diet, including the origins.  Some sources claim that the diet was created by a famous doctor; some sources attribute it to respectable hospitals, etc…The diet did not come from a famous doctor or hospital.  The true origins of this diet are unknown to this day.</p>
<p>This diet seems to have first surfaced in the 1980&#8217;s.  It spread quickly by fax machine.  Once the internet arrived, it quickly spread that way.  This is one of those fad diets that seems like it will never die or go away.</p>
<p>What is the cabbage soup diet?</p>
<p>The cabbage soup diet is a 7 day eating plan.  The diet, as the name suggests, focuses around a soup which is comprised mainly of cabbage.  The eating plan is below:</p>
<p>Day 1 &#8211; Cabbage soup and any type of fruit that you would like to eat, except for bananas.</p>
<p>Day 2 &#8211; Cabbage soup and any vegetables that you care to eat.  You may also have a baked potato that has a small amount of butter on it.</p>
<p>Day 3 &#8211; Cabbage soup plus any fruits or vegetables that you care to eat, with the exception of potatoes or bananas.</p>
<p>Day 4 &#8211; Cabbage soup and bananas.  You may eat up to 8 bananas.  You may also drink as much skim milk as you want too.</p>
<p>Day 5 &#8211; Cabbage soup and beef.  You may have up to 20 ounces of beef this day along with the cabbage soup.  You may also consume up to 6 tomatoes.</p>
<p>Day 6 &#8211; Cabbage soup and unlimited beef.  This day you can have as much beef as you care to eat.  You can also have as many vegetables as you want, except for potatoes.</p>
<p>Day 7 &#8211; Cabbage soup and brown rice.  You may also have any vegetables that you want this day, except potatoes.  You may drink unsweetened fruit juice this day too.</p>
<p>It should be noted that you may eat as much of the cabbage soup that you want on any of the days. You must eat the cabbage soup at least 3 times per day.  It should also be pointed out that there are some other variations of this diet.</p>
<p>The above may not be the exact cabbage soup diet that you may have stumbled upon.  The main ingredients usually consist of the following:  cabbage, onion, carrots, tomatoes, peppers, and seasonings.  The ingredients for the cabbage soup also tend to vary.</p>
<p>Does this diet work?</p>
<p>Yes and no.  The diet can work, if you actually stick to it for the 7 days.  You are severely limiting your calorie intake.  Given that you have to eat the same thing daily, will probably tend to make you want to eat less of the soup, which will even further restrict your daily calorie intake.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re expecting the weight loss to be long term, don&#8217;t.  Most of the weight you lose from this diet will be water weight, not fat.  Once you resume your normal eating habits, the weight you lost will return.  In fact, it is probable that you will not only gain the weight you lost while being on this diet, but you may even gain more weight.  You could wind up heavier than before you started this diet after you resume your normal eating habits.</p>
<p>Is this diet safe?</p>
<p>No, it is not.  It is highly recommended that you don&#8217;t go on the cabbage soup diet.  This diet is not nutritionally sound.  You can actually become mal-nourished while on this diet.  You should never eat under 1200 calories, unless you&#8217;re being directed by a doctor.  This diet can make you come dangerously close to consuming less than 1200 calories.  Even though it is only a week, it is highly recommended you don&#8217;t try this diet.</p>
<p>The cabbage soup diet lives on because there will always be an allure and an attraction to a diet that will help you to lose weight rapidly.  The cabbage soup diet is not nutritionally sound nor will give you long term weight loss benefits at all.  There are many other safe, nutritionally sound, diets out there that will help you to lose weight quickly and easily, if you put the effort into them.</p>
